I have read how people reward themselves for losing X amount of pounds on their journey. I think it's nice, but I have not really done it. If I want something and can afford it, I buy it--usually used.
I have decided, though, that I do want some things as a reward, but I want them when I get to my desired body, the place where I feel comfortable, healthy and can maintain. No, not a trip to Hawaii--although that would be lovely.
What is it I want?
T-shirts to work out in.
When I get to where I'm going, I'm going to order a few from MizFit. Unapologetically Myself--what's not to LOVE about that? I'm even going to get a "Don't F*ck With the Fitness Bloggers" t-shirt. Now I'm no stranger to that word, but I've never worn it--even with an asterisk. But for the comfort of my own living room? You bet. And while I don't consider myself a fitness blogger, I do blog my fitness journey. While I don't give tips or have an extensive knowledge base, I do share what I do, my calorie burns, and whether I loved a video or not. I've shared our midnight stroll on New Year's Eve, shoveling, etc. So I'm kinda/sorta a fitness blogger. Perhaps I should say a fitness journey blogger.
I would love to have a Tracie Long t-shirt, if she makes them. Actually I do have one from her old workout series, TLT. I didn't get it from her or her site, and I can't tell where I got it from, but I did recently get one. It's a touch small, but by golly, I'm wearing it right this moment. I love it.
If Jari Love makes a t-shirt, I'd like one from her, too.
Now I'm not in love with the new Firm stuff at all. The old stuff, done by Anna Benson, and the first four body sculpting systems, that's what I love. Yet, I would even love to have a Firm t-shirt, which would have to come from the new Firm. And the next time my hubby has to travel to Columbia, South Carolina, he has been instructed to go to the Firm (it's in Lexington) and buy me a t-shirt! That's high on my priority list!
I'd like some with dumbbells, barbells, women--pink and girly but showing that girly girls can be strong, too.
I like t-shirts to work out in better than real exercise shirts. I sweat a lot and t-shirts catch the sweat better. There's something fun about seeing sweat soaked down to your belly--it's very gratifying. That doesn't happen with the Danskin shirts I own, even though I sweat as much.
So I'm easy...nothing special, just a few t-shirts from people I admire that have helped me on my journey! Fun to wear, and fun to work out with my fitness friends.
