This is my view today. My pretty roses, my TV with all the wires sticking out. Hubby graciously moved our cable box so I could enjoy all channels. My cute socks with paw prints. No, I haven't worn them for 24 hours straight. I put them on for the photo.
The second day is always the worst, and today is no exception. I feel like crap. The cramps are one thing, but most of it is because I'm so out of shape. See, throwing up yesterday really took it out of me. Today, every muscle that contracted yesterday is sore. It even hurts to cough.
So I've snuggled up sideways on the bed, with my faithful kitty, my son popped in for awhile to watch Jack. I haven't put a single movie in because every time I start to watch one, I fall fast asleep.
My throat and neck hurt, and my hubby and I were figuring it was due to the awkward position during anesthesia. My rib cage hurts. I have cramps. Whine, whine, whine.
The flowers: They arrived this morning. Hubby announced it and pulled the card for me to read. I said thank you. He said who are they from? I said thank you and handed him the card. I wish I had been feeling better to really play it up, but I wasn't. He held it, stared at it in disbelief, and then said, "But Jo, I didn't do this." He then stood there a minute while I was smelling them and asked, "Did you do this?" "Yes. Yes, I did. Every girl wants flowers after surgery." He apologized and said he didn't even think of flowers.
I got to feeling bad about it, because what if I hurt his feelings. He's done a lot for me. Thankfully he saw my strange humor in it. He's a keeper.
Oh, and for the record, I never asked for drugs. I just took what they gave me. I was hoping for Percocet because they make me so, um, happy. I didn't ask specifically!
