Menu Planning
Having done Weight Watchers successfully once before, I know how to do it well. It takes a lot of planning. It takes organization. One must be prepared.
It means having a menu plan and sticking to it. I make up a list of our weekly meals. Usually we follow it to the letter, but I may switch things around. It also means doing the shopping and having the proper foods on hand. I'm most concerned with dinner, because that's where I spend most my points.
I have typed up a cheat sheet full of my favorite recipes and food ideas. I plan my menus by this.

I then try to plan a varied menu, so we don't get sick of the same thing over and over.Obviously, my list isn't long and it's sorely lacking veggies, fruits, nutritious snacks...one step at a time for me. I'll add to the list as I go.
I have a 3-ring binder in which I place all my recipes. So as I write my menus, I am able to check ingredients and make my shopping list. I post the menu on the fridge for the entire family to see. I then get off my butt and go to the grocery store so I am prepared.
This helps me stay OP.

162.0 = 162 = GOAL
11-14-11 Um, great initial goal when things seemed overwhelming to me! 162 isn't going to cut it at this point. I don't have a specific weight in mind, but I have a feel in mind. I want to look good in clothes, but more importantly, I want a very FIT body. I want muscle. Will reach goal when I feel I am where I need to be...to be announced!!!
PERCENTS:
254 = 10 percent 6-8-09!!!
226 = 20 percent 11-23-09
197 = 30 percent 10-4-2010
For now, I am choosing to a goal of 172.5 pounds. I may go beyond when I get there, but it's overwhelming to think lower than that. (Changed to 162.5)
169.5 = 40 percent
141 = 50 percent
To get to a 39.9, CLASS II OBESITY, I will have to weigh 240. Obtained 8-16-09 on my six-month anniversary!!! I am NO longer morbidly obese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To get to 34.9, CLASS I OBESITY, I will have to weigh 210. 3-8-10

*This is weather-dependent. I cannot walk on ice. I fear falling. It's either a psychological quirk of mine, or the fact I have no balance because I'm so fat. It could also be the fact that I am not graceful and have been known to fall while walking on flat, dry pavement.
Misc. goals:
Feel better tons!
More energy tons!
Being able to bend comfortably oh yeah!
Sit on the floor comfortably oh yeah
Flexibility greatly improved

REDUCE REAL AGE
On March 26, 2009, I took the Real Age test. At 43.7 years old, I scored an age equivalent of 58.4. My goal is to greatly reduce that!
On May 3, 2009, I took the Real Age test. At 43.8 years old, I scored an age equivalent of 52.4, shaving 6 years off! Woo-hoo.
On September 25, I tookthe Real Age test. At 44.2 years old, I scored an age equivalent of 48.2. I shaved off another 4 years 2 months. Woo hoo!
Yesterday
Yesterday was odd food wise.
One would never guess that someone who weighs as much as I would forget to eat. I do forget to eat frequently. Not healthy.
Lunch was breakfast. I was behind on points all day. At 10 pm last night, I was at 23 points with a target of 36. I scrounged the cupboards and nothing looked good. Still, I knew that I had to consume more than 23 points for the day. I made a pot of No Egg Noodles. Eight points, plus 1 tablespoon of Promise Light spread. A 9-point snack. I made it to 32 and could eat no more. If we had not been out of milk, I would have had a glass.
I blew it on the fruits and veggies department, only consuming an apple and a potato.

Friday, February 20
Last night I got sick. Had lots of "pain." I get the same pain all the time in my belly, and it was high last night. 7-8 out of 10.
Stayed on plan, though. Had leftovers for supper, potato casserole and eggs. Was very good and filling.
Decided to not tell anyone about being on a diet. Well, any of my close friends. Why? Because everyone is always full of advice, do this, or this is the healthiest, or don't diet, just eat whole foods, or blah, blah, blah.
My husband just said there are so many diets out there because everyone is different. I love Weight Watchers, it works for me, and it's healthful. So I don't want to have to defend my choice or listen to all the garbage from people.
Sometimes I want to say to my buddy if Atkins is so great for you, why are you fat? I don't, though, as I believe in manners. I may not have the best manners in my thinking, but I do with my mouth.
Today I ate well, short on veggies and fruits...go figure. That's one thing I really need to work on. Veggies taste like dirt to me. They always have. I like the sugary veggies, the roots. Can't stand cruciferous veggies at all.
Start with salads, work my way up to healthier greens in the salads, and then expand.
I'm still in shock that I got so high with my weight.
I did notice a different feeling in my stomach today. I can't describe it in words, but I know the feeling...my body is shifting. The first couple weeks of a diet, I always lose a lot. Water weight. I can feel it, though. I don't feel better yet, and I won't for a long time. I remember when I got my 10% award at Weight Watchers the last time (I started at 264 then) and the leader asked me if I had more energy and felt better. I smiled and lied through my teeth. I didn't.
I didn't feel better and have more energy until I got below 220. When I got below 200, I really felt better. It takes awhile, the heavier you are.
I put a ticker on this blog. My goal weight is 175. High by WW standards, but attainable to me. Who knows what will happen when I get there. What struck me, though, is that I only have 107.5 to lose. That didn't seem so bad to me. In my brain, it feels like I have 200 to lose. I don't. And time goes fast, weight comes off steadily and slowly, but it won't take that long in the scheme of things. Patience is a virtue.

naked...
Monday morning...
how in the h*ll did I get so fat!
Day four with Weight Watchers.
I lost 72 pounds once before, I will do it again.
I'm more realistic this time. I have no goal of weighing 120 pounds. Right now I'm shooting for 250. Then 225. Then 200. Then 175. I think I'll call 'er good at 175.
Reminder to self:
I feel like sh*t.
I hurt all the time. Physical pain daily.
My ankles are huge.
My face is fat.
Everything is fat.
I can't bend.
I have constant IBS, according to my doc. I say it's a localized pain and it hurts like h*ll. It's hurting now, bad.
I'm not motivated by being pretty, getting skinny, showing someone, being the best...my motivation is two-fold: fear of diabetes and PAIN.
I am lethargic.
I am tired.
I have headaches every day.
Whoever said it's easy to be fat doesn't know what it's like.
