A couple days ago my husband told me that he can see muscles in my forearms. I looked, and by golly, he's right!
The swelling in my right leg/ankle/foot has gone down considerably. It's still there, but not nearly as pronounced. I don't struggle to get my shoe on now--in fact, I don't even think about it when putting my shoe on.
My hands are thinner, I can see the veins.
My tummy is shrinking. I can feel it and I can see it.
My undies are too big. lol
I have noticed that when I sit at the kitchen table, I don't have that great big belly resting on my legs. I could actually feel the weight of it. Now I still have a small amount hanging over and resting, but it is not so blatantly obvious to me.
Today at lunch DH and I were discussing all the things we noticed and I rubbed my cheek. Oh my gosh, I felt a dent in between my cheekbone and the part underneath. Meaning: I have cheekbones again! I had my husband feel it, I had my son feel it, and I sat there and rubbed it over and over, both sides. lol WOW. DH then said he noticed the fat coming off my neck and double chin a little, too. Woo-hoo. I hate having a fat face.
I wish that I had not been a chicken when I started this and actually measured myself. The scale I could handle, but I couldn't handle the numbers on a measuring tape. All I have to go by is the pair of jeans that were skin tight when I started.
All this made me feel great. I then went and looked in the mirror. Yes, I can see the changes. My back even looks better.
I will do pictures in the middle of the month again. I'm anxious to compare them. What is so noticeable to me, will it be in the photos? Perhaps I'm more in tune with my body and I notice the tiny changes more now and they are smaller than I feel they are. I mean, I'm still fat, I weigh 261 pounds, but it doesn't matter, though, because there ARE changes!
it will be noticible to all. enjoy the nsv!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing changes in myself. It's great when others notice but even better when I do! Great work.
ReplyDeleteI gave you something. Go to my blog to see what it is!
WHOHOOO!!! It feels great when we can actually SEE the hard work paying off :)
ReplyDeleteYou, know... Just because you didn't start measurments at the start of this doesn't mean you still can't. I didn't do it until about a month into my journey because I was also afraid. once I became not so afraid... i went for it! Why not... You're still on this journey and it's not like the #'s aren't going to change for you. So! GO FOR IT :):):):) Even if you don't share with us... You can do it for you :)
Congrats again! :)
Very cool NSV's! I love it when you actually notice something like that!
ReplyDeleteI was the same way - could not face the measuring tape. Now I wish I had. Jules is right - it's not too late - you should do it!
I am like you and that I did not measure myself. I kept telling my daughter to help me but I never pushed it. I think back in my mind I didn't want to know. The scale number was bad enough. That is so wonderful when family and friends and yourself start to notice a difference. What a great feeling. Have a fantastic evening.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the NSVs! I'm looking forward to pictures :)
ReplyDeleteYou are down 21 pounds, and more fit with your exercise to I bet the changes are obvious to everyone! Happy for you!!
